Peasburge Barn

The sensitive matter of any historic agricultural building in the Cotswolds prohibited any further extended accommodation at ground level at this property, so the solution lay beneath. Consent was negotiated with the Planning Authority for a 280 square metres below-ground extension, in part under the existing barn and extending out into the landscape.

The new lower-ground floor looks out onto a sunken courtyard garden and hosts two bedroom suites, a gym, a sauna and a playroom. The existing barn underwent a complete renovation, which included a bespoke kitchen, a two-storey master bedroom suite, as well as state-of-the-art management systems and energy-efficient lighting.
